Perfectly tender french toast with a fun fall twist.
1 cup milk
3/4 cup pumpkin puree
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1/2 cup sugar
1 large loaf of bread (brioche, challah, texas toast, or thick cut french bread)
Whisk together all the ingredients (minus the bread) till the sugar is dissolved.
Heat a skillet or pan on the stove over medium heat. Cook each side for about a minute. If the toast cooks too fast, lower it a little bit. You don’t want to cook it too fast or the pumpkin won’t taste very good.
Serve with real maple syrup or buttermilk syrup.
