Candied Pecans
This is a simple and fast recipe for candying pecans. You can also use the same recipe and candy basically any nut you’d like too. I am not a super huge nut fan. But I love nuts on salads. You likely won’t see many dessert recipe of mine that has nuts in it but you’ll likely find several salads with nuts. Like this chicken pomegranate salad that uses these candied pecans.

- Total Time: 7 minutes plus cooling time
- Yield: 2 cups 1x
Ingredients
2 tablespoons butter
2 cups pecans (8 oz), whole or roughly chopped
2 tablespoons white sugar
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon salt
Instructions
Melt butter in a large pan over medium low heat. Add pecans, white and brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Stir frequently for 5-8 minutes till sugar is starting to make clusters out of the nuts and the nuts are toasted. Remove to a piece of parchment paper till cooled. Store in an air tight container.
Notes
You can also use almonds, walnuts, or basically any nut.
