Graham Cracker Pie Crust

If you don’t already know, I have a son named Graham, and he’s my youngest. Since he was just a teeny, tiny baby in the NICU I’ve always called him my Graham Cracker Crumb. Even though he’s almost 3 now and not crumb-sized anymore (I’m not crying, YOU’RE crying!) he still is, and I think always will be, my Graham Cracker Crumb. And so, of course, I have an affinity for all foods with Graham cracker crumbs.

Funny thing about Graham crackers- You can’t find them in Finland where we lived for 5 years (and where Graham was born) so when we moved back to America all of my kids were so confused when I started making things with Graham crackers and didn’t believe me for a long time that this cracker/cookie thing was actually called a Graham cracker. It’s still funny to me.

And a serious thing about Graham crackers- This crust is delicious, simple, buttery, and holds together great. It’s necessary to have a go-to Graham cracker crust recipe and I hope this will be yours.

This pie crust pairs well with any pie that needs a Graham cracker crust!
(All of my older pie recipes that I shared before this post don’t need a Graham cracker pie crust because almost all of this blog before this post was done when we lived in Finland and again there were no such thing as a Graham cracker there. But you could definitely make this Dark Chocolate Cream pie with a Graham cracker crust. Or this Peanut Butter Pie.)
And stay tuned for more as I love making pies, and I’ll definitely be using this Graham cracker pie crust!

Let me know what filling you decide to fill this with!

Frequently Asked Questions – Graham Cracker Crust

I'd suggest baking it because it holds together better, but it is okay if you just refrigerate it with your filling if your filling doesn't need to be baked. If you are afraid of having uncooked flour in your crust, you can leave it out if you're not baking it.
Yes you can. They're a bit finer than the crumbs you'd get if you use a food processor at home so you may need an extra tablespoon or 2 of crumbs to get the right consistency with the amount of crumbs called for in this recipe.
I think using a measuring cup to help press the crumbs into the pie tin is the easiest and best way. It helps get the corners pressed in neatly especially.
