Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich

Is there anything better than opening your lunch box and finding a nice, room temperature, Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich? Especially if it’s made with creamy peanut butter (the classic peanut butter in my opinion!), strawberry jam, and sandwich bread from grocery stores! It’s just the best thing. Are you HUNGRY or is it just me?
Now is definitely the time to debate the age old questions about this sandwich though- Chunky peanut butter or creamy peanut butter? Strawberry Jam or Grape? Or honey?? White bread or wheat? Is there a such thing as too much peanut butter? Cut into triangles or rectangles? And finally, crust on or crust off? I need to know your answers and if you’re right or not so please leave a comment. In case you’re wondering if you’re right, check out the FAQ below!
Why you’ll love this PB&J Sandwich:
By now I hope you know that this is an April Fool’s post! If you don’t know how to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches then likely you are not looking at food blogs. But I’m going to keep going with this post anyway because this sandwich is a staple and I have a funny story. (And I have a lot of pretty pictures!) When we lived in Finland, Millie had a sweet little British friend named Leo over for a playdate after school one day. I made them PB&J’s and he looked at it like I was serving him grasshoppers or pig’s feet. He was 5 years old and had never had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich! I know this is super American but it is still so strange to me JUST how American it is.
